FAQs for Manufacturing

Q1: How should I choose the right shampoo for my hair?

Choosing a shampoo depends on the condition of your scalp, not your hair.

Oily scalp: Choose a shampoo labeled "refreshing," "oil-control," or "silicone-free," or one containing ingredients like salicylic acid.

Dry scalp: Choose a shampoo labeled "moisturizing," "hydrating," or "repairing," or one containing gentle moisturizing ingredients like amino acids and essential oils.

Sensitive, itchy, or dandruff-prone scalp: Choose a shampoo with simple ingredients that's "soothing," "anti-allergic," or "anti-dandruff" (containing zinc pyrithione, ketoconazole, climbazole, etc.).

Normal scalp: Choose a functional shampoo based on the condition of your hair (e.g., damage from perming or dyeing, frizziness, etc.), but only if your scalp feels comfortable.

Q2: Are "silicone-free" shampoos better?

Not necessarily; it depends on your needs.

Advantages of silicone-free shampoo: Leaves hair more voluminous and refreshed after washing, preventing it from falling flat. It deeply cleanses the scalp and is suitable for those with oily scalps, fine hair, or those who prefer an airy feel.

Advantages of silicone-containing shampoo: Silicone-containing shampoo fills the hair cuticle, making hair smooth, manageable, and shiny. It is suitable for dry, damaged hair, or those who frequently perm or dye their hair.

Recommendation: You can alternate between using a silicone-free shampoo for your scalp and a silicone-containing shampoo for your hair (i.e., silicone-free shampoo and silicone-containing conditioner).

Q3: Do I need to change my shampoo frequently?

You can consider changing it periodically or keeping two shampoo options to use alternately.
If your shampoo has always been a good choice, there's no need to change frequently. However, if you feel a product isn't working as well as it used to (due to tolerance or seasonal changes in your scalp's needs), switching to a different product that addresses the same issue may be beneficial. For example, use an oil-control shampoo in the summer and a moisturizing shampoo in the winter.

Q4: Should I pour shampoo directly onto my scalp?

Not recommended.
It's best to pour shampoo into the palm of your hand, add water, and lather until lathered, then apply to your scalp and hair. Pouring shampoo directly onto your hair can be too concentrated and may irritate your scalp, making it difficult to distribute evenly and resulting in incomplete cleansing.

Q5: Does washing your hair every day harm your hair?

It depends on your scalp type.

Oily scalp: Daily washing is necessary to keep your scalp clean and prevent pores from clogging.

Dry/sensitive scalp: Frequent washing can strip away essential oils, leading to drier and more itchy scalp. Washing every other day or every two days is recommended.

Normal scalp: The recommended daily washing schedule depends on your personal habits and level of activity.
